International Youth Exchange
The International Youth Exchange program arranges and promotes youth exchange for inbound and outbound students, plans other events for students, and invites students to Rotary Meetings.

Every year, about 7,000 students ages 15 to 19 go abroad under the Rotary Youth Exchange program. Hosting a Rotary Youth Exchange student challenges the host family to become familiar with another culture. It provides the opportunity to share a youth student's hopes and ambition.

Exchange opportunities
In Bound students are hosted in local homes and club members are encouraged to have the student over for dinner, visit their place of dinner, join them for sports and cultural events.  These students stay a full school year.

A Short term student program is also available to local youth who want to participate in a 1 month exchange program.  The student is matched with a student from another country and each spends a month at each other's home.

For information on how to apply for the exchange program or to volunteer to help host, contact Jim Hoovler.
